Bangsar is one of the most upscale and affluential residential suburbs, and such a reputation comes with high demands. In just ten years, the median price per square foot for landed and strata properties in Bangsar increased by 90%. Not only is Bangsar a mature neighbourhood, but it is the host of many famous F&B establishments. Its’ location makes it highly accessible to the Kuala Lumpur’s city centre and other prominent suburbs. With all these attractive features, Bangsar has become a trendy suburb that many aspire to move to.

Connectivity

Bangsar might be the most convenient suburb to live in. It lies on the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur, and via Jalan Syed Putra, you can swiftly make your way to the city centre; it is only four kilometres away. Also, Bangsar is linked to several major highways and road links.

Some examples are the Sprint Expressway that leads to Desa Sri Hartamas, and the NPE which provides direct access to Subang Jaya. You can travel around the Klang Valley with ease via the Federal Highway, the LDP and the Kerinchi Link as well.

Not to mention, the north of Bangsar lies at the centre of Damansara, where you have access to Damansara City Mall and the Pusat Damansara MRT station. Meanwhile, the south of Bangsar lies Mid Valley City, one of the biggest malls in the Klang Valley; and to the west is University of Malaya’s sports and athletic science facilities. Even in the east, you have access to Brickfields.

Living here even gives you easy access to both the airport. Just take the Maju Expressway, and you will arrive at KLIA in less than an hour. Drive towards the west for 20 minutes, and you will find yourself at Subang Airport.

Public Transportation

With its’ well-developed public transport, Bangsar is the ideal suburb for commuters. Its’ LRT station, the Bank Rakyat-Bangsar station, is linked to the LRT Kelana Jaya Line. While, KL Sentral station is just one stop away, and from here you can take the KL Ekspress to KLIA or the national and local rail services.

Also, the Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT station connecting to the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang line. With these MRT lines you can conveniently travel to Sungai Buloh, Bandar Utama, Bukit Bintang, Cheras, and Kajang.

The LRT station also functions as a taxi and bus terminal where you take a free shuttle bus to Mid Valley Megamall.

Shopping

In Bangsar not only can you café hop, but you can mall hop too. The malls here will, without a doubt, satiate your shopping urges. There is Bangsar Village 1 where you will find various retail stores, dining options and entertainment. While Bangsar Village 2 houses fashion boutique stores and other world brands.

Another option is the Bangsar Shopping Centre, where they feature international brands alongside local boutique brands. You can find a diverse selection of foods at their upscale grocery store as well.

If you want more options, then make your way to Mid Valley Megamall where it is connected to the luxurious Gardens Mall. Here, you can find international brands like Zara, Uniqlo, Nike and more. If you want a break from shopping, then head over to Golden Screen Cinemas to catch a movie or visit the arcades and other entertainment outlets.

Bangsar Food

If Bangsar is the topic of conversation, then we must mention their food. This suburb possesses a collection of fantastic eateries – restaurants, bars, cafes. There is the French restaurant – Yeast Bistronomy, to name a few.

Living in Bangsar provides you with all the gastronomical options you will ever need. Head over to Jalan Telawi, the centre of Bangsar’s nightlife, and take your pick.

Meanwhile, there is Monarchy MMA, if you are looking for something more exciting. They teach Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, krav maga, self-defence, and beginners’ class too. So, it is never too late to pick up martial arts.

Bangsar Healthcare

Do not worry about healthcare. Living in Bangsar gives you quick access to two hospitals – University of Malaya Medical Centre and Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Both hospitals are only a 20-minute drive away. Also, Bangsar has numerous clinics dotted around the area; and if all you need is some Panadol, then head over to Lorong Ara Kiri and the intersection at Persiaran Ara Kiri, where you will find a row of retail pharmacies.
